Naked Bike Ride

On Saturday the 11th of June 2005, many UK cyclists will participate in the second annual World Naked Bike Ride! This bike ride protests against oil dependency and celebrates the power and individuality of our bodies. While there will be plenty of riders going nude, full nudity is not required. Just go as bare as you dare!

The World Naked Bike Ride will be taking place in various locations in the UK (London, Bath, Manchester, Edinburgh, etc).

During the first World Naked Bike Ride (2004), there were several rides in the UK including a ride in
London's Hyde Park with 52 participants. This year, there are expected to be several UK rides again and even more participants. The World Naked Bike ride is part of Bike Week 2005 and London Sustainability Weeks 2005.

WILL THERE BE ARRESTS?
This is very unlikely! No one was arrested in any of the 2004 rides.

This year, the London ride is negotiating the route with the police. Other UK rides, may or may not do
so. So far, police in London have been very supportive, and don't foresee any restrictions being
placed upon the ride.

WHAT IS THE ROUTE?
The current proposed London route is available at the website via this link: http://www.worldnakedbikeride.org/uk/london/route (it will be made public when finalised)
