Cycle News Tuesday, October 12, 2004Veterans of the road roll upHundreds of vehicle enthusiasts flocked to one of Shropshire's top tourist attractions for a nostalgic look at some of Britain's most stylish and treasured cars and bikes of the last 80 years.Visitors from across the region flocked to the Severn Valley Railway yesterday for the 16-mile Bridgnorth to Kidderminster line's third classic car and bike day. The event saw about 200 cars and motorcycles exhibited by enthusiasts from around the country at stations in Kidderminster, Bewdley, Arley, Highley, Hampton Loade and Bridgnorth. Models on show included the Riley Monaco, Model T Ford Sedan, Triumph Gloria, Morris Minor, Ford Perfect, Singer Gazelle and the incomparable E-Type Jaguar. But at Hampton Loade, it was classic motorcycles that dominated the scene, with a collection of bikes rekindling the great names of the UK's lost motorcycle industry including Norton, Triumph, BSA, Francis Barnett and Sunbeam.
